Nagano Yuki

Date:  28 - 31 December 2010
Place: Nagano

My Travel Info:

Fuyu yasumi or winter season already began in Japan since middle of December. Last week, Osaka reached the most extreme coolest point where I was witnessing thick snowfall, surrounding my area. Praise to Allah! Now, it's  going to end, the ambient temperature  gradually incline to 10 degree.

In this entry, I would like to share my first ever experience joining a ski program in Nagano. By boarding a bus, the journey took around seven hours to arrived at Ski resort,Mount Akakura, Nagano. This famous resort is surrounded by several high peaks (near or over 1500m) and a number of its cable cars and chair lifts go almost as high.  If you’re staying on site, you can literally put the skies on in your room, climb over the balcony and there you are on the slopes!

It's speechless! Only a vivid exposure could define how's my excitement at that time. Imagine, if you  stand at 300m peak, 45 degree of snow slope, you wouldn't expect how's your ski control and what speed would might be. Just like others, I became a ski lover after exciting some activities where the area also offers snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides and dog sledding options.  As a beginner, I almost fall many times but  later I became 'crazy' of ski until I ended up my record with 24 times skying within three days! At the peak of Mount Akakura,  I got a chance to watch sun set moment, beautiful ski resort scenes and  the most sweet  memory that I could experience my prayer to Allah, who create all of us.
